2004-06-30 ... CHRISTINA AGUILERA RESTS HER VOICE BY RECORDING TWO NEW ALBUMS
Christina Aguilera, the pop diva that people backhandedly compliment by saying, "At least she can actually sing," took a potshot at her rivals, contemplated a venture on the silver screen and, now that she's rested, has announced the recording of a new album or two.
Christina's Xposed tour came to a screeching halt this summer as her poor pipes burst, leaving her unable to continue performing.

"Since you know I sing everything from top to bottom live, you know, it’s a lot of hard work," Aguilera said in a recorded message on her website. "So, I want to make sure that my pipes are in top condition when I do that… that led to me having to cancel the tour, because I have to be super, super-positive that everything is good with my pipes."

You hear that Britney? Hilary Duff? Sings everything from top to bottom. In your face.
While her pipes continue to rest, Aguilera also talked about two albums that she has in the works, one being the follow up to 2002's Stripped, the other her second Spanish album after 2000's Mi Reflejo.

"I’ve been writing and recording and putting my heart and soul into this next vision that I have for the next album," she reported. "I’m really excited about these projects. I’ve been kind of flirting with old ’20s, ’30s, ’40s looks and styles and movies and old pin ups. I’m flirting with kind of this old Hollywood feel and whatnot."
Speaking of Hollywood, Aguilera has shown interest in making a transition to film, but only if the right project were to come along.
"I’m not just going to do a movie to do a movie," she claims. "It has to be right, it has to be the right role, I have to feel the right character. It has to be something meaty and juicy that I can sink my teeth into."
Now while it remains unclear as to what the hell Aguilera is talking about, we can at least be spared the likes of Crossroads 2: Dan Aykroyd’s Revenge.
