Forced to cancel her summer tour over throat problems, Christina Aguilera hopes to make it up to fans with a few new albums.
The singer has announced plans to spend her down time writing and recording songs for the follow-up to 2002’s highly successful Stripped album and a second Spanish album after 2000’s Mi Reflejo. While she rests her vocal chords, Aguilera is toying with creating a feel and theme of Hollywood in the ‘20s, ‘30s and ‘40s on her next English album.
Aguilera has spent the past year touring in support of her latest album, often with former ‘NSync star Justin Timberlake but earlier this year she had to cancel the summer dates of her trek.
On her official web site, Aguilera explained to fans her reason for canceling, “Since you know I sing everything from top to bottom live, you know, it’s a lot of hard work. So I want to make sure that my pipes are in top condition when I do that…”
Meanwhile some fans are still waiting for ticket refunds from an Aguilera-endorsed company called FansRule. Through this company, fans bought exclusive packages that gave better seats and a chance to meet the artist. However, the company went bankrupt last November and fans are still waiting to collect. Aguilera’s management is pushing the company to pay its debt but so far it has not come clean with refunds...
