Pop diva Christina Aguilera has turned down the chance to buy a luxury apartment in New York -- after learning the owner is pop rival Britney Spears. The singer was impressed with the $4.86 million property but refused to even view it when she discovered her former "Mouseketeer" co- star was the seller. A source tells Britain's Daily Star newspaper, "Christina was really interested in the apartment and had told her people to arrange for her to see it. "It was only when the appointment was made that someone mentioned it is Britney's pad. Christina said to forget it, she wasn't interested in it any more. "She wouldn't live in Britney's cast-off [even] if it was going for free." However, Christina's sentiments are not echoed by pop peers Beyonce Knowles and Pink, who have both expressed an interest in the lavish address.
