Sexy singer Christina Aguilera has blasted her native America for its conservative attitude to women's bodies and sexuality, following the furore over Janet Jackson's televised breast exposure.
Jackson shocked American audiences when her left breast was exposed during a raunchy routine with Justin Timberlake during a halftime performance at Sunday's Super Bowl American football final.
Similarly, Aguilera's saucy video to Dirrty - her first single from latest hit album Stripped - caused a stir amongst the media and public in 2002, after she cavorted with men and women in scantily-clad outfits.
And she's slammed America's "insecure" reaction to the promo, claiming Britain is much more accepting of her sexy image.
Aguilera says, "The English have been more open-minded than in the States and received the song much better.
"It was really shocking for a lot of people in the States - if you're a confident woman who goes out there, works it and doesn't apologise, it puts questions in people's mind. The ones offended are either uncomfortable with their sexuality or insecure."
